Material
Ductile iron covers are manufactured from spheroidal graphite cast iron to achieve specified tensile strength and elongation requirements. Infrastructure Products Australia' ductile iron covers are in accordance with requirement specified in AS1831 and AS3996. Ductile iron covers can be utilised in variety of applications to meet strength and durability requirements.
Load Rating
Cast iron covers are manufactured up to a Class B load rating (ultimate limit state design of 900kN) under the Australian Standard AS/NZ 3996, thereby making cast iron covers suitable for docks, wharves and airport runways.
