Fully compliant with Telstra standards, this C8 pit guarantees correct fitment into Australian telecommunications networks. It offers assured quality control for contractors and ensures compatibility with existing composite and concrete pit lids, frames, and network infrastructure.
PIT CONCRETE TELSTRA C8 CLASS B

The Concrete Pit C8 (NON-ACM) is a Telstra-approved access pit built for Australia's fibre-optic and telecommunications networks. Designed as a strong, long-lasting alternative to the P8 plastic pit. Durable, compliant, and installation-friendly, it's ideal for civil, commercial and network deployment projects.
Features & benefits
Telstra-Approved for Network Compliance & Reliability
Heavy-Duty Concrete Construction for Long-Term Durability
As a NON-ACM concrete unit, the C8 pit provides significant structural strength compared to plastic alternatives. It withstands harsh environmental conditions, high soil loads, and busy public environments. Making it ideal for footpaths, verges, and commercial sites.
Fast Installation with Knockouts for Easy Conduit Access
Designed for efficient workflow, the pit includes knockouts on both ends, enabling quick conduit penetration without the need for drilling or complex tools. This simplifies fibre-optic and cable routing, reduces labour time, and enhances overall installation efficiency.
Full specifications
High-strength concrete has a compressive strength of 40MPa or greater. Infrastructure Products Australia manufactures their precast concrete cable pits using a fibre reinforced concrete mix to ensure a minimum of 40MPa. This attests to our pits remaining durable and robust throughout their lifetime.
Our standard Infrastructure Products Australia precast concrete cable pits are designed and built a Class B load rating, meeting the Australian Standard AS/NZ 3996.
Infrastructure Products Australia standard precast concrete cable pits are manufactured a Class B load rating (ultimate limit state design of 240kN).
